Embrace and be Grateful - Walk, Talk and Shop plus Morning Tea, Carrington NSW

This adventure has it all, walking, coffee and even a spot of shopping. Come and Join the girls at Women Embrace Adventure as we support another local business (The Grateful Boutique and Bouquet) doing amazing things.

What they do at the Grateful .... In this beautiful little shop in Carrington you can purchase clothes, gifts or a beautiful bouquet of flowers. With every bouquet purchased, one will be donated to the John Hunter Hospital and Ronald McDonald House to brighten the day of the patients and the staff that dedicate their lives to helping others and the families of those in need. For every in-store purchase, a donation is made to the Got Your Back Sista charity, to provide self-defence classes for women from domestic violence. This is a great opportunity to help these women gain the confidence, support and skills they need to be happy, obtain employment and thrive. HOW AWESOME IS THAT! So we at Women Embrace Adventure decided we wanted everyone to know about these awesome ladies making a difference and tailored a adventure around it to build awareness for The Grateful and have a great time in the great outdoors while we are at it.

First we will walk the 5km loop of the Throsby Creek Walking Track. It is an easy and beautiful walk. Then we'll shop and have a lite morning tea and a beautiful local Cafe. We hope you can join us.

Meeting point:  Carrington NSW, exact meeting point will be sent in your confirmation email

About the walk: The walk is a hosted 5km walk around the Throsby Creek Walking Loop. The track we will walk along is part of the Newcastle Parkrun Route. We walk along flat well formed paths and some boardwalks.   ​

After the walk. Our walk will end back where we started at the Grateful where we will hear all the great things the girls are doing to support people in the local community. You'll have time to browse the shop at your leisure and maybe even arrange for a beautiful bouquet for a friend or loved one. We'll go next door for a coffee and sweet treats to end a perfect morning.

Cost: $35 including guided walk followed by a lite morning tea at a local Carrington Cafe. Payment due in full upon booking. Pay Pal or direct credit card accepted through our secure site.  

​ I haven’t done this before, will I be fit enough? This walk covers easy level terrain, mostly flat and paved and is perfect for any fitness level.  No one gets left behind, with 2 guides we will have one at the front and one at the end to support all hikers.  This trail is not handicapped accessible at this time and pets are not allowed.

Do I need to bring anything with me? Just make sure you wear a comfortable pair of joggers and bring along a water bottle with at least 1 litre of water and a hat and sunscreen. We'll bring some snacks and a first aid kit. ​

What if I don’t have anyone to go with? No problem at all, there are 2 Women Embrace Adventure hosts to make sure everyone is introduced before we set off. By the end of the Hike we are sure you would have found some new friends!
