Embrace Coastal Hiking, Whale Watching and Lunch, One Mile to Birubi Beach, Port Stephens, NSW

About the Hike: 

Join us as we walk from One Mile Beach to beautiful Birubi Beach along a section of the new Tomaree Coastal Walk - about a 8km trip. We'll meet in Anna Bay and take you to our starting point at One Mile. Our walk will take us through ancient volcanic rock landscapes, across secluded bays and over lovely beaches. We'll take in stunning ocean views in all directions on this moderate-day walk and keep our eyes peeled for migrating whales or frolicking dolphins (or both!) offshore. Once back in Anna Bay, we'll head to beautiful Birubi Beach and enjoy a delicious lunch at Crest, where the food and the views are outstanding!

Date: Saturday 27th July 2024

Meeting Time: 8:15 am for a 8:30 am start

Meeting Point: Robinson Reserve, Anna Bay, Port Stephens, NSW. Details of the exact meeting point will be sent to you upon registration. 

Maximum Numbers: 14 plus your WEA guides

Length: the hike is approximately 8 km long and will take us approximately 3.5 hours

Cost: $110 includes your walk, lunch at Crest Cafe at Biribi Beach

Inclusions: 

• National Parks Licencing Fees
• 2 x Wilderness first aid qualified leaders
• Lunch and a drink (beer, wine, coffee or soft drink) at Crest, Birubi Beach
• Photos of your adventure will be posted on our Facebook event page for you

What do I need to bring?

-day pack (to carry your personal belongings)

-hiking boots, sturdy joggers or trail runners are needed

-hat

-sunscreen and sun-protective clothing

-bug spray

-any personal medications you may need (asthma puffer/epi-pen etc.)

-hiking poles (optional)

-waterproof jacket (in case of cold/ wet weather)

-an extra warm layer in case of cold/windy weather

-at least 2 litres of water (remember we will be walking for a few hours, and there are no water fill-up points along the way)

-leave an extra set of clothes in the car for afterwards in case we run into cold or wet weather on our walk

How fit do I need to be? This hike covers approx 8 km of moderate levels of terrain. You will need a moderate fitness level to join us on this walk. If you are not sure if you are fit enough for the walk, please get in touch with us at info@womenembraceadventure.com.au, and we will be happy to give you a call to discuss. 

This trail is not handicapped accessible, and pets are not allowed. 

Going Solo?  No problem at all; lots of women come on our adventures solo. There are always two Women Embrace Adventure hosts to make sure everyone is introduced to everyone before we set off. By the end of the Hike, we are sure you will have made some new friends!​

Your booking is final once your payment is processed and a confirmation email is sent to you. No refunds will be given, but you can ‘Pay it Forward’ (your spot can be transferred to another lady over the age of 18). Please email us at least 24 hours before the adventure and provide her contact details. This is an all-weather event. If cancelled by Women Embrace Adventure, a credit or full refund will be provided.

This is a women's only adventure. Valid for sale until sold out. Advertised prices are per person. Prices are correct as of 13 April 2024 and are subject to availability, withdrawal and change at any time without notice due to fluctuations in charges and currency. All current government safety and health guidelines at the time of booking and departure must be adhered to.  If this trip is undersubscribed or in circumstances where external events affect the viability or safety of this trip to go ahead, Women Embrace Adventure reserves the right to cancel or reschedule and to exclude/remove any participants from this trip.
