Join Women Embrace Adventure on this summer evening easy walk along the banks of Throsby Creek, finishing up at Earp Distillery for a delicious gin and tonic (or a drink of your choice) and a light dinner. 

About the adventure

A terrific wander on the city fringe of Newcastle, join us to explore our own backyard.  This walk takes us along the streets of Carrington down to the mangroves, where we'll stroll on the boardwalk through this classic coastal vegetation. We’ll stroll along the Carrington foreshore, learning a bit about the history of the area as we wander.  Finishing up at Earp Distillery, we’ll toast our evening stroll with a locally made gin & tonic (or other beverage) and a small meal while we hear about all things GIN. We hope you can join us for a great summer evening!

Meeting Point: Carrington, near the Earp Distillery. More details on the meeting point will be sent in the confirmation email.

Distance: we'll walk approximately 5kms on flat pathways

• 5km walk led by first aid-qualified guides

What are the requirements for this adventure?

This event is for women over the age of 18

What do I need to wear/bring?

-comfortable walking clothes

enclosed walking shoes 

-bug spray

-any personal medications you may need (asthma puffer/epi-pen etc)

-waterproof jacket/umbrella (in case of cold/ wet weather)

-water

How fit do I need to be? This adventure is for all fitness levels. 

What if I don’t have anyone to go with?  No problem at all! Lots of women come on their own to our adventures. Your Women Embrace Adventure host will make sure everyone is introduced to everyone before we set off on our walk. We always have lots of fun, there's no pressure, no judgement and lots of encouragement from everyone. By the end of the evening, you may have just found some new adventure friends!

What if I don't drink alcohol? It's not a problem at all; have a soft drink, tea/coffee instead. As always, we support safe alcohol consumption and respect non-drinkers.

Your booking is final once your payment is processed and a confirmation email is sent to you.

No refunds will be given but your spot can be transferred to another lady over the age of 18. Please email us at least 24 hours before the adventure and provide her contact details. This is an all-weather event. If cancelled by Women Embrace Adventure, a credit or full refund will be provided.

This is a women's only adventure. Valid for sale until sold out. Advertised prices are per person. Prices are correct as of 5 July 2024 and are subject to availability, withdrawal and change at any time without notice due to fluctuations in charges and currency.

All current government safety and health guidelines at the time of booking and departure must be adhered to, including all Covid-19 requirements. In circumstances where external events affect the viability or safety of this trip to go ahead, Women Embrace Adventure reserves the right to cancel or reschedule and to exclude/remove any participants from this trip.
